It treats muscle strains, sprains, and injuries-related pain, stiffness, and discomfort.  This Muscle Relaxant medication does not replace rest, exercise, or physical therapy, or any other treatment that your doctor may prescribe for your medical condition.

Extended Release Cyclobenzaprine Hydrochloride Tablet works on the central nervous system (CNS) to relax muscles.

Cyclobenzaprine 15 mg Precautions and Warnings

It is critical that your doctor assess your progress on a frequent basis. This will help your doctor to determine whether the medication is working effectively and whether you should continue to take it. Consult your doctor if your condition does not improve after 2 or 3 weeks, or if it develops.

If you experience anxiety, restlessness, a rapid heartbeat, fever, sweating, muscle spasms, twitching, nausea, vomiting, diarrhoea, or see or hear things that are not there, Inform your Doctor as soon as possible. These could be signs of a dangerous illness known as serotonin syndrome.

This medication will enhance the effects of alcohol and other CNS depressants (drugs that slow the neurological system and may cause drowsiness). Antihistamines or medicine for hay fever, other allergies, or colds, sedatives, tranquillizers, or sleeping medicine, prescription pain medicine or narcotics, medicine for seizures or barbiturates, other muscle relaxants, or anaesthetics, including some dental anaesthetics, are examples of CNS depressants. Consult your doctor before taking this medication.

As a result of this drug, some people may experience blurred vision, become drowsy, dizzy, or less careful than usual. Make sure you understand how you will react to this medication before driving, operating machinery, or doing anything else that could be dangerous if you are dizzy or unable to see clearly.

Cyclobenzaprine may induce mouth dryness. Use sugarless treats or gum, melt chunks of ice in your mouth, or use a saliva substitute for brief comfort. Consult your doctor or dentist if your mouth is dry for longer than two weeks. Continued mouth dryness may raise the risk of dental disease, such as tooth decay, gum disease, and fungal infections.
